Fees & Appointments
Arranging counselling is a straightforward process in three simple steps.
1. First Contact

They will explain the process to you and answer any questions or concerns that you may have. If you wish to go ahead they will arrange an Initial Consultation with one of our experienced counselling assessors.
2. Initial Consultation
This is a 50 minute session with an experienced assessor who will ask you questions to understand your situation and clarify what you are hoping to achieve through counselling. They will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have at this stage.
Following the assessment, your assessor, in consultation with our Head of Counselling, will decide how we might best be able to help you, within our counselling service.
If we feel that our service is not the best approach for you, we will inform you of this along with some clear suggestions on how you might access the most appropriate type of support for your specific needs.
3. Meet your counsellor
Your allocated counsellor will contact you to arrange your first session. From then on, you will see your counsellor once each week for regular 50 minute sessions.
Counselling may be short-term or may extend over a longer period of time, depending on your needs and circumstances. We will offer you counselling for as long as you feel you need it – there is no fixed limit to the number of sessions so you will not have to end your counselling until you feel ready.
At present we have NO WAITING LIST. Most Initial Consultations can be arranged within a week and depending on your availability we will be able to place you with your counsellor soon after.
Our counselling service operates Monday to Friday from 9.00 am until 9.00 pm.
Sessions take place once each week. Each session lasts 50 minutes.
This applies to all sessions; individuals, couples, in-person or remote.
Our fees: We charge a £20 administration fee to register for our services which is non-refundable. The charge for the Initial Consultation is between £20 and £65 depending on your financial circumstances.
We are a not-for-profit organisation and our overriding mission is to provide a professional counselling service to those in need at an affordable cost. For this reason we ask you to pay whatever you can afford for ongoing sessions. As a guide, it costs us between £35 and £60 per session to provide the service. We do have a limited number of low-cost sessions available.
